Cortijo Contrares

The villa is entered through a large courtyard that is enclosed on all sides and is a fantastic place to enjoy breakfast and coffee. The succulents in the courtyard ensure that there is always a beautiful green vista.

The rest of the grounds are fully enclosed so children are always safe to wander. The gardens are a series of terraces that are manicured and tended by Doug and Anne. There is always some areas of shade to cool down in during the long summer days.

The large Andalucian barbecue is on the side of the house adjoining the kitchen and faces the beautiful sunsets at the end of the days over the local hills towards Alora.

The large covered terrace outside the lounge and kitchen is a great place to dine al fresco. There is a large teak table that seats 8 comfortably.

Fairies moved into Cortijo Contrares about 5 years ago and at the last count there were 27 fairy doors around the gardens.
